QSORDER Search

This application provides an interface for sharing contest and DXpedition recordings made with the N1MM Logger+ and the Qsorder plugin. It is based on the "Dropbox.com" online storage to make files available globally.

How to add your QSO recording to the search:

  • Register with the Dropbox.com and download and install the Dropbox PC client. A basic free 2 GB Dropbox account will hold ~12,000 QSOs. If that is too small you can increase space at the Get more space Dropbox page. There are several free and $ options for adding additional storage.

  • After the Dropbox PC client is installed and logged in, click on the Register button below to authorize folder access by the qsorder cloud search application.

  • Populate the Dropbox\Apps\QsoRecording directory on your PC with qsorder mp3 files. This folder is located in "My Documents" on most systems. You can also go to Dropbox.com to upload the files to Apps - QsoRecording location.

  • Access your personal search URL after the files have finished uploading. Your QSOs should also appear in the global search results on this page

More on how this works »

Qsorder audio files saved to a special location in the user's Dropbox will be available for sharing with the world. The location "Dropbox\Apps\QsoRecording" is created automatically once you go through the registration process below. Simply copy over the MP3 files you would like to share to this folder. All directories below the 'QsoRecording' will be searched recursively.

After the registration is completed you will receive a link to the search form for your recordings. This URL can be pasted on your QRZ page, see for example http://www.qrz.com/db/K3IT. If at any time you forget the link, click on the registration button again. To disable the search of your files go to the Dropbox settings and revoke access to the qsorder-search application.

The naming convention for the MP3 files should be: DXCALL_OWNCALL_CONTEST_MODE_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS_NNMHz.mp3. The QSORDER files are automatically saved in this format.

Locate recordings by entering the call sign at your personal URL or in the global search box on top of this page

How to add QSO search to the QRZ.com page»

Adding an 'iframe' to the QRZ page

Use the following syntax for the QRZ.com "bio" page:

<p>Search <YOUR CALLSIGN> contest QSO recordings archive:</p>
<p><iframe frameborder="0" height="200" src="//qsorder-k3it.rhcloud.com/form/XXXXXXXX" width="880"></iframe></p>

Replace XXXXXXX with your personal number from the register page. Also, you can adjust height and width to your taste. Note that the URL in the iframe should not have http: in front of it. This allows the iframe to work from both HTTP and HTTPS pages.
